3.   Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst

WTAL Summer Reading List“The enemy wants us to feel rejected…left out, lonely, and less than. When we allow him to speak lies through our rejection, he pickpockets our purpose. Cripples our courage. Dismantles our dreams. And blinds us to the beauty of Christ’s powerful love.” – Uninvited

Whether you’re the CEO of your company or a successful entrepreneur, feelings of unworthiness and loneliness can suffocate the spirit of the most accomplished, self-assured woman. So, how does one overcome these destructive thought patterns and feelings? Lysa TerKeurst, president of Proverbs 31 Ministries, New York Times best-selling author, and sought-after keynote speaker, unpacks her own narratives of childhood abandonment by her father in Uninvited. In this book, she uses biblical teachings to help explain the root cause of and cure for feeling rejected. Consider this book a must-have for your WTAL summer reading list.
