General FAQs

What is the address of the conference?
I can no longer attend the conference. Can I receive a refund?

No refunds will be issued. If you would like to donate your registration, please contact customer service at 1.800.BISHOP.2.

Can men or children attend this conference?

All are welcome to attend; however, all WTAL conference programming and content will be geared toward women. Men, women, and children are required to register.

Will childcare be provided during the conference?

There will be no on-site childcare available during WTAL: Homecoming.

Will there be an expo?

There will not be an expo this year.

What is the dress code?

Business Casual.

Will translation be provided at the conference?

Yes. We are offering translation for Spanish, French and Portuguese.

Will this event be live-streamed?

As of now, there are no plans to offer WTAL: Homecoming via live-stream. However, certain sessions will be available for purchase.

How do I register for media credentials?

Thank you for your interest in covering the 2020 Woman Thou Art Loosed: Homecoming, grand finale conference September 10 – 12 in Atlanta. All members of the media—reporters, photographers, videographers and crew—are required to display media credentials in order to cover events within the conference.

Media applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Print, radio, TV or online publication; no social media outlets (must have a website outside of Facebook)
  • A circulation or audience of 5,000 or more – depending on the type of outlet
  • Members must be able to verify relationship to outlet by either online articles or photo of business card
  • Reporter, writer, radio personality, camera operator, photographer or blogger only (no publishers, sales managers or digital personnel)

To apply for media credentials:

Fill out the media credentials application – for review and approval.

Following receipt of your application, you will be contacted with a request for additional information or with confirmation and next steps.

Applicants will be notified via email whether they are approved or declined for credentials.

Approved media will receive additional onsite logistical details (i.e. where to pick up credentials, parking, facility access, media interview opportunities).

Note: Deadline to apply is August 24, 2020. Please allow at least seven business days from the time your application is submitted, for review and processing. Approval of media credentials is required prior to attending the conference events to capture onsite activities, and to receiving media news releases, updates and materials throughout the conference. We do not offer onsite walk-up media registration. T.D. Jakes Ministries reserves the right to decline any media outlet or member.

Transportation FAQs

Is ground transportation provided at any time during WTAL?

No. You are responsible for your own transportation during your time at this event as well as to and from the airport.

Registration FAQs

Do I need to register to attend WTAL?

Yes. Everyone must register to attend any sessions of WTAL: Homecoming.

Will I need to sign up to attend specific sessions?

No. Your WTAL: Homecoming registration grants you access to all programming taking place at WTAL, with the exception of ticketed events.

Do you have any scholarships for this event?

At this time, we do not have any available scholarships. However, you can send a request outlining your need for assistance to conferences@tdjakes.org. Your request will be reviewed and placed on the scholarship list for further consideration. A representative from the conference team will contact you if a scholarship becomes available.

 Group Registration FAQ’s

I am a part of a group. How do I receive my credentials?

Whomever registered your group will receive all of the badges for each person in your group upon check in. You cannot check in as an individual if you are a part of a group. Please arrive with your group leader or make arrangements for them to get your badge to you!
