Sybrina Fulton is fully committed to transforming family tragedy into social change. The death of her 17-year old son, Trayvon Martin, during a violent confrontation in February 2012, catapulted her into becoming an inspiration for parents and concerned citizens across the country. Despite the intense struggle of losing a child and the ensuing publicity around the case, Fulton became a role model to many by turning her grief into advocacy. Today, she lends her voice to speak against violence towards children and the need to build better, safer communities for all. An honest and relatable speaker, Fulton always looks forward to sharing her powerful message with everyone from colleges and legal professionals to community and family organizations. A Miami native, Fulton has since channeled her activism into forming organizations like the Trayvon Martin Foundation and the Circle of Mothers in 2013. Fulton is also a proud mother to son, Jahvaris Fulton.
