Rev. Marissa R. Farrow, a native of Baltimore, MD, is the daughter of Bishop Robert E. Farrow and Evangelist Jacqueline Farrow of Mt. Calvary Church and Ministries. She attributes her ministerial beginnings to one “Good Friday Morning” when asked by her father to stand in for a pastor who was unable to make his annual “Seven Last Words” service. It was from that moment, at the age of 14, that propelled Marissa’s ministry forward.
In 2007, Marissa delivered her initial sermon entitled “The Unshakable Call” at Mt. Calvary Church and Ministries. In that same year, Marissa graduated with academic honors as well as military honors from Meade Senior High School. Upon graduating, she began matriculating as a biology pre-med major at Delaware State University. Marissa holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship from Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC, where she is a proud spring 2015 initiate of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
She was ordained as an elder in the Northeast Freewill Baptist Convention in 2013. Currently, she serves as the preaching assistant and minister to young adults at The Greater Allen AME Cathedral of New York. An advocate for youth, her greatest desire is to serve God and be an agent of change.
